Boat Maneuvering Mastery
Maneuvering Masterclass – Precision, Control, Confidence
Marina maneuvers are where a skipper’s true seamanship is tested. This program builds your confidence to handle any boat with accuracy and calm — even in the most demanding conditions.
What is the Maneuvering Masterclass?
Sailing offshore brings freedom, but the real challenge begins in the marina. Approaching, docking, and departing safely under wind and current require precision, timing, and composure.
The Maneuvering Masterclass is designed to focus exclusively on practical boat-handling skills, taught in real marina conditions. With small groups and direct coaching from Alexandros Retsinas, you’ll develop the techniques and mindset to dock like a professional.
What You’ll Learn
Mediterranean mooring (stern-to with lines & anchor)
Side docking and use of spring lines
Approaching and departing under wind or current
Effective use of bow thrusters and twin engines
Anchoring techniques in different seabeds
Tight-area maneuvering inside marinas
Deck safety & correct use of knots
Crew management and single-handed techniques
The Yachts We Train On
We charter modern, fully equipped yachts that highlight different maneuvering challenges:
Monohull – responsive handling that requires precision and timing with rudder and propeller.
Catamaran – wide beam and twin engines demand a unique approach to docking and turning.
Motor Boat – focused on throttle control, prop walk, and thruster use for powerful, confident maneuvering.
All vessels are carefully chosen to provide the best possible training experience.
